Why Choose Kubota Tractors and Fuel?
At White’s Tractors we are proud to say that you won’t find many people who know more about agricultural vehicles than we do.
That’s at least one of the reasons why we believe so firmly in Kubota tractorsbecause we know them to be a great high quality and very cost-effective product for farming in this part of Australia.
Of course, having said that, we occasionally get the odd call from a customer saying their tractor won’t start. A slight variation on that theme is that it will start but then quickly stops.
What’s going on?
Well, it could be almost anything. Kubota tractors are hugely reliable and robust beasts but like any other machine, they can occasionally develop faults. What we can usually do is to guarantee that we will fix it quickly and get your tractor back into full operation.
However, it’s worth saying a word here about a cause of troubles that is sometimes overlooked. That is the issue of fuel.
We have seen instances where the problem has been attributable to the owner using ancient fuel that they have had stored up in cans for a very long time. Why that should be the case isn’t always clear but it might be where an old can of fuel has just ‘turned up’ at the back of a shed during a clean-out and the temptation to avoid it going to waste is too strong.
The fact of the matter is that just about any sort of combustible fuel will deteriorate over time. There isn’t really space here to go into the exact chemistry of why that’s the case but it does. Once it starts to deteriorate, it can be far less effective in terms of supporting the ignition processes but unfortunately far more effective in simply gumming up aspects of the engine.
So, a bit of a plea to all of those who have supplies of fuel which are of uncertain age and equally uncertain origin. Either don’t use them or get them thoroughly tested before you do so!
Kubota tractors are fantastic machines but even they need decent quality fuel to run on.
